Notes:

Start date prior to 1756 when Thomas Omer ran a canal through the quarry. This was to become the Grand CanalSeries of quarries just west of Gollierstown Bridge, south of Lucan, Co. Kildare either side of the Grand Canal which cut through them. Stone used for building on Grand Canal as far east as Ringsend.
