Theses are marked beside St Kevin's Well on the 1837 map. The smaller Kilbride Granite Quarry was located 300 m south of the quarry. Golden Hill supplied stone for a number of important eighteenth century Dublin buildings including the Custom House; Bank of Ireland, College Green; Four Courts; King's Inns.
