Located 6 km northeast of Blessington and 1 km west of Kilbride. The quarry was adjacent to Kilbride Lodge; some hide extraction may have taken place along 100m southwards towards where there were cutting sheds. Theses are marked beside St Kevin's Well on the 1837 map. The smaller Kilbride Granite Quarry was located 300 m south of the quarry. Golden Hill supplied stone for a number of important eighteenth century Dublin buildings including the Custom House; Bank of Ireland, College Green; Four Courts; King's Inns.References
