Notes:

When quarried the stone is brownish-grey but when dressed it is very light grey and crystalline; contains crinoids. Although it has a good appearance when finished it is soft and and does not keep its colour (and with it is classed the Ross stone but the Crossagh stone is more favouraly thought of).
