Notes:

A dirty yellow coloured sandstone varying from granular to conglomeritic. It is quartz-rich, semi-crystalline and hard with a felspathic cement. It was used to make millstones, flax crushers and kerb stones, as well as building stone. This stone was sourced 3 miles from Donegal.
