Notes:
Much of the stone was quarried on site at Sharpe's Wood (Mount Heaton); Drumbane (Tipperary); Ennis (Clare); and Carrighill (Kildare). The spire was constructed or limestone recycled from demolished buildings including Cloncart House near Daingean; Crinkill Barracks Church, Birr; Tullamore Gaol (Tullamore Limestone from Ballyduff Limestone Quarries); Tipperary barracks; Shinrone Glasshouse (see Feehan 2013, p. 287). Feehan says that the limestone for the interior columns comes from a 'famous quarry at Drumbane near Thurles'. This has not be located and is different to the sandstone quarry at Drumbane.References
