Notes:

The location of these quarries (referred to as Cloonagh) is described as 'beyond Rathkeale' in the Memorials of Adare Manor. Three quarries, one at the village of Reens and two just west, immediately south of the townland of Clonagh, a few miles west of Rathkeale. In 1858 the marble cost about 6 d. per cube foot.
