Notes:

Rivington's describes the stone as 'generally hard and not much used; the yellowish beds were free working'. Hunt (1858) allocates the Balnagall sandstone to the Old Red Sandstone in Longford, however the Balnagall townland is situated in the Ballysteen Formation.
