To the south of Co. Clare, a little east of the River Fergus a quarry of reddish-grey Fenestella limestone, which was worked as a marble, was situated south of Newmarket-on-Fergus and north of the Shannon. Used in the dining room of Adare Manor (spelled 'Rynana').
