Notes:

A pale to dark grey, close-grained, crystalline, hard stone composed of broken crinoid stems. Takes a good polish and was worked as a marble. Can be raised in large blocks and was used extensively in Dublin for cut stone purposes. Similar to the stone quarried at Shannon Bridge and Clonmacnoise.
