Notes:

Founded in the 13th century the site contains Desmond Hall, a two story building with a turret at its north west corner, and just to its south, the single storey Great Hall (also known as Templars' Castle). Desmond Hall contains some fine windows, some of which on the groundfloor, in sandstone, are blocked up (Harbison 1992, p. 227).
