Notes:

Rev Dr Donnelly made several trips to the world famous studios of Carrara to source the marble statuary and the sculpted tympana, as well as two journies to Naples to source marbles for the altars and interior embellishments (these have since been removed and replaced with modern minimalist granite fittings). The cathedral is constructed of Dungannon sandstone with facings of Armagh limestone (exact quarry location is unknown). Exterior ornamental stone for quoins etc. was sourced from Donagh, 4.5 miles from the town and the arches above the openings and tracery is of yellow sandstone (source not yet identified). The polished red columns on the exterior and beneath the organ gallery are of Peterhead granite. Carved Portland stone capitals surmount the interior red Peterhead granite columns, which stand upon Portland bases and polished grey Peterhead granite pedestals. Portland stone (?) columns and carved capitals line the nave from which pointed arces spring.
